After the expiration of one month from the day fixed for the first hearing of a petition (provided it has been served) no further adjournment shall be made except for the reasons set forth in rule 60 (2), or for some such other sufficient reason to be stated on the record; but in every such case, unless an adjournment is made, the Court shall either make a receiving. order or dismiss the petition.
